Zoe Skye Violett
Zoe Violett is a traditional artist, illustrator, painter and poet inspired by the macabre. She strives to create visual metaphors for all aspects of life and the beauty of death. Her atmospheric work often features a juxtaposition of delicate flowers and shadowed skulls, a composition designed to show a glimpse into the unpleasant side of life. She has found her niche in painting and sharing her ability to create art that encourages self-reflection.
A Florida native, Zoe lived in Sarasota for 20 years. She studied at Ringling College of Art and Design and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Art degree with honours, majoring in illustration. Her course enabled Zoe to hone and refine her skills as a traditional artist, primarily using oil paint, ink and watercolour. She currently resides in Iowa, working from her home studio in the greater Des Moines area.
