Chelsea England
American artist Chelsea England has a passion for colour. Her paintings are primarily created in an adventuresome fashion, combining richly pigmented colours with bold, gestural strokes. Chelsea favours working with acrylic paint, and her weapons of choice are paintbrushes and palette knives. She received her creative training at Purdue University, graduating with a BA in fine art.
Chelsea says, “I infuse my work with unexpected pops of texture and colour that bring any space a sense of joy. My work is like the first crocuses of spring. They dare to push themselves up above the barely thawed ground and boldly alert the grey world that spring is on its way and winter won’t last forever.”
Chelsea invites her audience to share in her joy of adding a little more light into the darkness.
