Olga Brovchenko

Olga Brovchenko sees her artwork as a means to explore the world and share impressions, emotions and feelings. This publication features three paintings from her series, ‘Colors of Earth’. She finds inspiration in nature, and her work aims to find the simplest means to describe difficult subjects. She says, “I transfer the scenery to abstract shapes or do quick sketches when I catch the main idea and transfer the impression into a drawing. I am inspired by the works of old masters, as well as modern trends in art and architecture. The world inspires me.” She is a versatile artist who is comfortable working in a range of media, including oil paints, watercolour, ink and a variety of graphic materials depending on the needs of the project.

She was born in Novosibirsk, Russia and received her formal training at Novosibirsk State Academy of Architecture and Arts, completing her studies in 2001. Olga began work in the design sphere as a graphic and website designer developing digital projects and teaching web design at her alma mater. After moving to Prague in 2010, she began experimenting with sketch art and watercolours, integrating oil and acrylic paint into her practice in 2012. Between 2015-2019 Olga taught watercolour and sketching at Art Prague School. She was the winner of a live art battle on Free Art Friday, Prague (2017) and participated in the ‘Colour of Life’ exhibition at Atelier A Gallery, Vienna, Austria. Her series ‘Colours of Earth’ exhibited at Spaces, Prague (2020) and Vienna Art Fair 2021 with Gallery Gaudi, Madrid.

Olga founded her freelance business in 2017. Working from her studio in Prague, Czech Republic, she creates personal projects and commissions for clients. Known for her wall art murals, Olga enjoys collaborating with interior designers to help them bring their client’s vision to life.
