Nikole Stark
Polish-Canadian artist Nikole Stark describes herself as a “young, to the point type of woman who maintains a level of honesty and authenticity within herself”. Alone time is essential to Nikole and her creativity. She meanders through an enjoyable life in the countryside, where her childish and open heart thrives.
Previously, the primary subject matter of her work consisted of structured portraits of women in rich, warm colours. A mixture of deep depression and the tedious labour of these detailed paintings cleaved her from the desire to create almost entirely until she began her abstract work, first with simple acrylic and resin pours.
Nikole still frustrates over her work but continues with a renewed creative energy, eager to learn as much as she can.
