Olga Kharyakova    

 
 

Olga Kharyakova is a painter from Ukraine who strives to make her art exceptional. She is constantly improving her skills and studying the best examples of modern art. Olga is an experimental artist who studied abstraction at the Kiev School of Contemporary Art. Oil and acrylic paints are her favourite materials to create the richly textured surfaces and defined brushstrokes that characterise her work. She enjoys working in various genres ranging from textured abstraction to plein air impressionism. 

She paints pictures filled with energy and feelings. The works created by the artist resonate with the viewer, absorb their attention and carry a profound emotional message. Olga is inspired by travelling and finds powerful artistic energy from nature in places such as the beautiful island of Khortytsia and the Dnieper River.

Her paintings are held in the collection of the Art Museum of Zaporizhzhia, as well as private collections in Ukraine, Germany, Israel, Czech Republic, Italy, Australia and Russia. As a cultural figure, she has participated in national and thematic exhibitions in Ukraine. Olga is deputy chairman of ‘Kolorit’ artists’ association and organiser of cultural projects, festivals and exhibitions in Zaporizhzhia, where she currently resides. She is a full-time artist who has been on a creative search all her life. Before following her creative path, she received two diplomas in microbiology and economics. 

Olga’s favourite quote is from Lewis Carroll’s ‘Alice in Wonderland’, “My dear, here we must run as fast as we can, just to stay in place. And if you wish to go anywhere, you must run twice as fast as that.”
