Maaria Rinta-aho
Maaria Rinta-aho is a Finnish abstract artist working in acrylics. Her creative practice is self-taught, and her journey as an artist began in March 2020. The artworks she creates are stolen moments from her busy life as a mother of three, a wife, a hairdresser and an artist.
She pours her innermost feelings onto the canvas, intuitively allowing the paintbrush to guide her hand and the resulting work is entirely dependent on her feelings at the time of painting. Maaria enjoys the sense of freedom and almost childlike excitement she gets every time she starts to paint. She hopes her art reflects these feelings and evokes self-acceptance, inner strength and the power of intuition in the viewer.
