Nate Russell

Nate Russell is inspired by the work of Salvador Dali, Gregg Capullo and Todd McFarlane. He enjoys experimenting with a diverse range of tools and has produced an extensive body of mixed-media artworks combining graphite, acrylic paint and watercolour, as well as utilising the X-Acto knife and wood-burning techniques. His recent pieces are created using pen, ink, marker and colour pencil.

Since 2000, Nate has exhibited pieces at art galleries, coffee shops, head shops and bars. His work has also been accepted into juried shows.

Nate studied art at Western State University and currently resides in Colorado, USA.

“Like most artists, I have had a love and desire to create visual arts since I was a child. I learned to draw as a kid and teen by trying to mimic the art from my favourite comic books. As my skills grew, so did my desire to try new mediums, disciplines, styles and subject matter. I pride myself in not falling into a singular niche or genre but rather have dabbled in many mediums and styles and try to incorporate them. My goal as an artist is to create visuals that are a challenge for me to make and look good to me. I figure if it looks good to me, someone else is bound to think the same. Art=Life.”
