The sea or the sky often inspire her paintings, and Caroline sees the process of creating as meditative as she follows the natural, fluid flow of the subject. She encourages the viewer to study her paintings to reveal hidden features.
She is a self-taught artist whose process is guided by intuition. The ideas for her paintings start with the desire to share a feeling or an attitude, which she brings to life using a variety of techniques, including acrylic and mixed media.
