Carlos Inda

 
 

Carlos Inda is an abstract expressionist painter. His style is based on oniric and histrionic elements and is derived from the COBRA movement and inspired by artists, including Roberto Matta, Asger Jorn, Arshile Gorky, Pierre Alechinsky and Antonio Saura. Carlos began his creative practice in 1970, and he has enjoyed participating in many significant events and projects. During 1979 he devoted himself to graphic work in the studio of the renowned Spanish painter Bonifacio Alfonso. In 1980 he participated in the creation of the ‘Euskal Artista Elkartea’ art group and began to produce graphic works. He participated in the 50th anniversary of the bombing of Gernika art event in 1987 and started the ‘12cm’ Vasque art initiative in 1995. Throughout his extensive artistic career, he has held numerous exhibitions in San Sebastian, Bilbao, Madrid, Barcelona, Baiona and Pamplona. He currently resides in San Sebastian, Spain.
