Jing Zhao     

 
 

Jing Zhao is an oil painter based in Frisco, Texas, USA. Art has been a constant companion throughout her life. She received drawing lessons from a private art teacher and developed her artistic skills at Peninsula School of Art, Scottsdale Artists’ School and a variety of workshops. She studied with great artists, including Kevin Macpherson, Zhaoming Wu, John Michael Carter, Daniel Gerhartz, amongst others. Despite a successful career in law, Jing eventually returned to her true love - oil painting.

Her artworks have been juried into numerous national exhibitions including, Oil Painters of America National Exhibition, The American Impressionist Society National Show, The Allied Artists of America National Show and the Bosque Art Classic. She has won many awards such as Best of Show at the 20th American Impressionist Society’s Juried National Exhibition, the Boren-Selvidge Award at Bosque Art Classic 34th Annual Juried Art exhibition, Art Muse Contest Emerging Artist Winner (May 2019), First Place Award in the Texas Members of the Portrait Society of America Exhibition 2018, Award of Excellence of Oil Painters of America 2020 Virtual International Wet Paint Competition and was a semi-finalist at the 15th Art Renewal Center International Salon Competition.

Jing was a speaker at the American Impressionist Society’s National Best Show Winners panel and a featured demonstrator at the AIS National Small Works Show. She has been featured in Southwest Art Magazine, Fine Art Connoisseur and DESTIG magazine’s top artist interview. Her artworks are also included in American Art Collector magazine.
