Joy Hawkridge is a self-taught abstract artist with a passion for art that began at an early age. She was born in Germany to English and German parents, raised in South Africa and is now based in London, UK.

An adventurer at heart, Joy’s love for travel and nature is a significant inspiration for her work. She also takes influence and encouragement from the great artists of the 20th century, including Monet, Van Gogh, Picasso and Pollock. 

Her characteristic aesthetic combines acrylic paint and textured media with neutral tones to produce elegant large-scale abstract pieces.
