Valerie Davis creates elegant, abstract paintings using fluid techniques. Her studio, Pour Vallery Art specialises in original artworks, commissioned pieces, jewellery and a range of home decor items.
Valerie is a self-taught artist who uses art as a means to express herself.
Her artwork features patterns and colour palettes inspired by her explorations of nature and interest in mythology. She creates her work using acrylic paints and alcohol inks whose fluid nature and rich pigmentation lend themselves to her colourful and intuitive pieces. The act of making art inspires her, but she is also influenced by the work of O’Keeffe, Van Gogh, Picasso and Pollock.
Throughout her career, Valerie has had the pleasure of working with the acclaimed women’s jewellery designers Bree of BISOULOVELY. In addition to her creative practice, Valerie is a registered nurse with a master’s degree in nursing. She lives in Bucks County in the Philadelphia suburbs.
