Alessio Bonini

Alessio Bonini was born in Genoa, Italy, in 1986. Relationships inspire him, and his work focuses on the links between interior and exterior, the soul, nature and the universe.

His artwork is predominantly produced using oil paints; however, he also creates mixed media artworks. At the age of 14, he was introduced to the painter M. Bertonati, who taught him the techniques of dripping and lithography. Alessio attended the local art school and simultaneously enrolled in ceramics courses.

In addition to his creative practice, Alessio firmly believes in independent artistic growth and actively helps and promotes emerging artists. He maintains an active presence in the creative community by hosting ‘Unconventional Artists’ a weekly radio program. He established the Carneviola Art Gallery in 2018 and participated in the live performance ‘Life Uninterrupted’. Alessio also organised the first international version of ‘La Spezia OFF Onirica Film Festival’, which he is now the artistic director of. He is also the founder of the artistic movement, ‘MoKa for the human being’

He has exhibited his work throughout Italy at sites including Le Trottoir, Milan, Lerici Castle and La Pigna Gallery, Rome. He participated in the PAT and has published his first poetic collection, ‘Dell’Amore e del Colore’. Alessio’s works are featured in numerous private collections around the world and are especially popular with collectors in Northern Europe.
