Catherine Paridans
Catherine Paridans has dedicated her life to art in many forms. From an early age, Catherine developed an interest in drawing, composing music and writing poems which led to her studying fine arts, fashion and theatre arts. She is inspired by human emotions, and each of her pieces tells a story.
Originally from Belgium, Catherine lived in Tunisia for seven years. She met a group of professional painters who encouraged her to paint. Her artwork has been significantly affected by the energy, light and blue sky of Tunisia. Catherine’s characteristic aesthetic features bold, vibrant colours produced using acrylic on canvas. Her artwork catches the eye of the viewer, arouses emotions and invites us to enter her world.
In addition to her painting practice, Catherine is also an award-winning poet. Her work combines her artistic and literary interests by narrating her poems through her paintings. Catherine has exhibited with the Union of Tunisian Fine Arts artists in the city of Tunis. Her pieces have featured in several collective exhibitions in Belgium, Luxembourg and Italy.
