Davenport-based multidisciplinary artist Bridget Loftus creates to detach from her ego. Through her art, she visually records her experiences with the people she interacts with and the current environment she inhabits. These documentations from her memory of place and people, and the narratives she extrapolates from them, are expressed in bold and dynamic abstract artworks.  

“I hope the viewer, privy or not to the inspiration, will have a visceral reaction when engaging with my creations”.

Her work is intuitive and a direct response to the trials and triumphs of personal circumstances.

“My work is fueled by a desire to release. It’s the letting go of the ideas and desires I lack the wherewithal to expunge through verbal language. I cannot express myself in an understated manner”. 

Her art pays homage to the intricate lives of others and is a visual representation of personal evolution.
