Stacey Blinco
Stacey Blinco creates realistic, impressionistic and abstract paintings of landscapes and contemporary subjects. An appreciation of history and a thirst for learning motivate Stacey to seek interesting objects to include in her artworks. Stacey has studied a variety of artistic techniques, including oil painting under A.W Morton. She says, “I have been a student of art for over 13 years, but my style and technique is forever growing and developing.”
Many of her painting references are from photographs she has taken on her quest to capture and keep the perfect light. Preserving a composition or texture, light and reflections in a photograph provides time for her painting to develop organically. This method also allows her a greater capacity for accuracy and thought. It was drawing from an early age that influenced and inspired Stacey to learn how to paint. Stacey received her first painting award in 2018 and is an active member of her local artistic community.
“Our planet is full of so many intriguing subjects that are illuminated by light and beautiful colours. My artwork is a diary of adventures and experiences, an account of the places I visit and a way to capture and process memories. My art is my journey.”
