Amir Bakal
Amir Bakal (b.1971) is inspired by nature, psychology, culture and history. Art has been in Amir’s life since high school, where painting and sculpture became his outlet. He has studied with many master artists, including painters and sculptors Greg Wyatt, Phillip Wofford, Sue Rees, Dean Snyder and James Surls.
Learning by doing is his philosophy, brought to life by his process, repetition and composition on canvas. Amir’s work aims to tell a story or create a dialogue using his influences, colour, painting and drawing to communicate his message.
He produces his artworks in series, and no two works are exactly alike.
“Art is about mystery and process, sharing my heart and hands with the world.” Amir recently began publishing his art on Instagram at @amirbakal and via his website amirbakal.com. His work is featured at the Context Gallery in Italy and in the collections of private buyers in the USA and Israel.
