Aleksandra Postnikova

Aleksandra Postnikova believes that art is beauty. Her paintings focus on landscape, still life and portrait genres to better reflect the world that surrounds her and to capture the beauty of the changing states of nature, and to show the quiet, understated aspects of objects and man. She favours oil painting techniques due to its flexible nature, which allows her ideas to be freely expressed. Impressionistic painting is a significant influence, and she strives to create her work in the manner of the French impressionists to depict the amazing beauty and wonder of the world around us.

She combines her work as an artist with the profession of a tour guide in the Tomsk Art Museum. This role constantly expands her knowledge of art and introduces her to contemporary artists and masters of the past.

Like many other artists, she began painting in childhood, where she drew so enthusiastically, her parents did not have time to replenish her sketchbooks and pencils! Aleksandra attended art school and received higher art education at Tomsk State University, where she realised that art would be a part of her life forever.
