Korrine Maher

Korrine Maher describes her artwork as “imaginatively delicious!” From her studio in Virginia Beach, VA, Korrine produces colourful, vibrant paintings inspired by her environment and personal experiences.

Nature is a frequent theme throughout Korrine’s body of work, and her paintings often feature animals, aquatic life and botanical subjects. She prefers using traditional techniques and favours acrylic and oil paints to create detailed texture and intricate patterns. Her love of music is intrinsic to her artistic process, and Korrine is particularly inspired by the dramatic and dynamic soundtrack of the Pirates of the Caribbean series. Character design is also a major influence on her work. She has designed a number of characters including, Skullzy Skully, a military humour character that has been turned into a range of different merchandise products, including prints and stickers.

She sells her artwork online via her Etsy shop and at Comicon events, including GalaxyCon in Richmond, VA. Korrine says, “I love the people who attend and the energy they bring to the events.” She is currently studying a Painting and Drawing BFA at Old Dominion University, Norfolk, VA. Korrine is also available for commission upon request.
