Luna Mea
Luna Mea is the creative pseudonym of Manuela Sabrina Schappert, an artist and freelance illustrator inspired by Alex Grey, Salvador Dalí, H.R. Giger and her mystical dreams. She says, “I’m interested in dark, bizarre, psychedelic, semi-realistic and abstract art, but I also love colourful compositions which take the painting into a friendlier direction, even if the overall theme of the work is dark or melancholy.”
She uses art to express her feelings, and her creative practice is guided by intuition. Luna Mea’s work aims to describe a range of emotions and subjects, which is reflected in her diverse use of media, including aquarelle, acrylics, gouache paints, and digital tools.
