We love the vibrant, highly characterised, sometimes surreal world of Peachmunkey. We were thrilled to feature her work in Pictoria Volume.1. We recently caught up with Peachmunkey to find out what she’s working on now!

Who are you and what do you do?

Hi I'm PeachMunkey, I get paid to doodle.

How would you describe your work?

It's alright?

How do you go about creating your artwork? Do you prefer to work digitally or with traditional media?

I usually start traditional with paper and mechanical pencil (I use a Graphgear 500, 0.3). Then after I scan and finish off in Illustrator/Photoshop.

What are you working on at the moment?

Some new stuff for my store ;)

Who or what are the top five inspirations for your work?

In no particular order: Shower thoughts, cooking/baking, dreams, childhood, anxiety.

What's one resource every artist, illustrator or designer should know about?

As corny as it sounds "yourself". In my personal opinion it's the individual that makes the difference not the resource itself. So try to learn as much as you can, create as much as you can and always look to improve.

What is the most valuable lesson you've learned during your time working in the creative industries?

Get paid for your work! Exposure don't pay no bills.
