Turi Distefano (ARGO)
Turi Distefano, aka ARGO, is a visual designer and illustrator based in Rome, Italy. After completing his art studies, he worked for several years at different Italian advertising agencies. He is currently freelancing, specialising in publishing and corporate events.
“My goal is to develop a style that is both traditional and modern. In my works, I apply textures to simulate engraving techniques. I am inspired by Jean Michel Folon’s poetics and Magritte’s surrealism. In every illustration, I seek a solution that may disclose a story.”
Turi is a Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign expert; he has produced projects for Enel (house organ), Enel Green Power (website) and Poste Italiane (house organ), among others.
