Thomas Jedrzejak

Thomas Jedrzejak was born in Poland in the late 1970s.
Soon after, his family moved to Eastern Germany before packing up and leaving Europe for Algeria. Tom’s entire childhood was spent barefoot in the Mediterranean Sea. As a teenager and young adult, Tom lived in Montreal, Canada, where he studied graphic design and worked as a bouncer in local clubs. That career ended with a(n) (un)lucky bullet in the leg. Being shot motivated him to fully focus on launching his career in graphic design...faster than a speeding bullet.

Tom worked briefly in Montreal as a Junior Designer and eventually left North America to return to Europe. For many years he was employed by UNICEF in Geneva, Switzerland as a designer & illustrator and later worked for various advertising and design agencies.

Today Tom lives in Zurich and owns an illustration and design studio, Atom Atelier GmbH. His vivid and expressive illustrations are regularly published in the REPORTAGEN magazine and he is mostly known for his sarcastic artistry.

Tom often describes himself as a product of iron and steel; the bullet wound that changed the trajectory of his life, being born behind the Iron Curtain, and his passion for juggling with a kettlebell made of the same steel as the nib of his quill.
