Teh Pui Hun
Teh Pui Hun’s drawings are inspired by her surroundings and experiences. She grew up in a fishing village in Malaysia, in a community full of warmth and hospitality. “I love to draw people there and add in a little twist in the drawing to make it look more interesting. My works were initially hand-drawn, but nowadays, I work digitally.”
Her professional background is in the advertising industry, where she has worked for five years. Notable clients include Gardens by the Bay and Singapore Zoo. She currently resides in Singapore.
“Contemporary illustrator, Victo Ngai is my favourite artist. I love how she interprets the artwork through composition, colour and details. Other than that, Michael Jackson inspired me through his music and the thought behind each creation. He taught me the spirit of pursuing perfection in art.”
