“I’m an Australian based graphic designer currently living in the city of Sydney. I graduated from Bachelor of Visual Communications with honours from the University of Technology, Sydney in 2017 and have been working in-house at their Marketing Communications Unit.
On a day to day basis, I work with faculties and research centres to produce promotional materials translated through print and digital using mainly InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. Lately, I’ve been working at the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Centre (UTS Startups) as their in-house designer as well.
Right now, I’m still exploring what I want to specialise in and contribute to the design community. During my honours year, I enjoyed having the freedom to experiment with hands-on processes and mediums, which is what truly excites me.
One of the projects I was most proud and excited to work on during my honours year is 99. It is a visualised installation of 99 people who were still missing in NSW at the time of the project. I wanted to evoke shock value and empathy from viewers and play on the idea of keeping a lock of hair as a cherished memory. All 99 A5 panels feature: full name, last seen date, appearance description and location accompanied by the respective lock of synthetic or real human hair.
I am heavily drawn to work that has a strong immersive impact, functions as a piece of design and is inspired by art. I am also curious about the business of design and critical thinking, so I do admire Stefan Sagmeister, Jessica Walsh, Ori Toor, Chris Do, Paula Scher, James Turrell, and Es Devlin.
Another excitement in my life is my love for climbing. When I’m not designing or thinking about design, I am doing indoor bouldering in multiple gyms in Sydney and occasionally exploring the climbs that the great outdoors has to offer. A future passion project of mine is to create something that will integrate my love for climbing and design, while continuing to experience the world as a designer.”
