Romain De Nadaï
3D CG Generalist Romain De Nadaï has been interested in films, visual effects and video games since childhood. His early introduction to Akira and Ghost in the Shell ignited his artistic passion, and from a young age, he aspired to become a draftsman. His practice gradually evolved into 3D, and this new perspective enabled him to rediscover masterpieces, including Blade Runner and RoboCop. His work is heavily influenced by manga, particularly Gunnm and Blame titles.
He studied computer graphics in Montpellier and credits this professional training with the skillset needed to get his first job in the industry. His tools include 3DS Max, Vray, Substance Painter, After Effects and Z Brush. Romain’s expertise ranges from projects for video games and cinema to 3D printing.
He lives in Marmande, a small town near Bordeaux, France.
“I can’t be objective because I think I still have to improve myself, as I’m never satisfied with my productions. When I see artists like Vitaly Bulgarov or Ash Thorp, I know that I really have to work harder and to become better, more creative.”
