Louise Kate
Louise Kate is a graphic designer who skillfully combines illustrative elements into her artwork. Her characteristic aesthetic features bold line work with a striking combination of vibrant flat colours and patterns.
“My designs tend to have an expressive nature. I often think it’s the design that’s controlling me instead of me controlling the design. I see the beauty in little things.”
Louise received a BA Honours degree in Graphic Design from the University of Lincoln, UK and graduated in 2017. She prefers to work digitally and is proficient in the Adobe applications, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects and Premiere Pro.
“Jean-Michel Basquiat is one of my favourite artists. I love the chaotic brilliance that comes through his work. I also have a love for all things Art Nouveau, especially Alphonse Mucha’s work. A lot of my illustrations stem from this style as I like to work with black lines and decorative botanical elements.”
Louise runs her creative practice from her studio in Cheshire, UK where she designs collateral for marketing campaigns, presentations and tenders for clients throughout the country.
