Lisa Falkenstern
Lisa Falkenstern has been a professional illustrator for more than thirty years, during which she has painted almost a thousand book covers for most of the major publishers.
She is a Gold Medal winner from the N.Y. Society of Illustrators and is in their permanent collection. She has won many awards from such shows as the L.A. Society of Illustrators, 3x3, Creativity International, as well as being in the annuals of Spectrum, Creativity and Print. She has won multiple Best in Show awards at the N.J. Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators and Jury Awards from the biennial Focus On Nature shows at the N.Y. State Museum.
Lisa has illustrated the picture books The Busy Tree, published by Marshall Cavendish and My Very Own Pirate Book, published by I See Me. She is the author and illustrator of A Dragon Moves In, also published by Marshall Cavendish and Professor Whiskerton Presents Steampunk ABC, published by Two Lions.
Lisa is in a book on women fantasy painters, Women of Wonder, published by Underwood Books, and she is one of four featured artists in Paperbacks from Hell, a book on the art of the horror paperbacks of the 70’s and 80’s, published by Quirk Books.
She paints in oils, acrylic and egg tempera and shows her magic realist art at the Gallery Piquel in New Hope, PA and Lambertville, NJ.
