Kenza Benamara
Kenza Benamara spent her childhood in Algeria before deciding to pursue graphic design studies in Paris, France, where she is now based. After graduating from Penninghen, where she received training in both traditional fine art and digital design, she started working as an art director in a creative agency.
Her style is influenced by Japanese pop culture, leading her to particularly appreciate making hand-drawn black and white designs and vector illustrations.
She is inspired by artists such as James Jean, Alfons Mucha, Oh WooSung (@olaoo_ws) and Yorifuji Bunpei. She participated in the exhibition ‘Made in Japan’ during Le Mois du Graphisme in Échirolles, France.
“Raised between multiple cultures myself, I grew a strong interest in seeing how cultures can interact in design; it is something I love to experiment with by playing with the different codes.”
