Iván Cuervo
Iván was born in the small neighbourhood of Oviedo located in Asturias, Spain. He studied Editorial Design and Illustration in his hometown, ending his studies in Lecce, Italy, with an Honor Mention (MEH).
“My art is a vehicle to provoke, protest, satirise and discuss current affairs.”
Iván’s specialises in caricatures, portraits as well as graphic design. His illustrations are created using a hybrid of traditional and digital media. Through an exaggerated use of bodily proportions, Iván has a gift for accentuating the true character and nature of his subject.
“I take inspiration from everything and everyone I see. Movies, television series, books and people are common sources of inspiration and are frequently used as subjects in my work.”
