Ilyas Bolatov
Freelance artist and university student, Ilyas Bolatov works between Prague, Czech Republic and his hometown of Almaty, Kazakhstan. He received basic artistic training in a studio in Almarty where he learned to use traditional media, such as gouache, watercolours and oil paint. Ilyas also works digitally and is continuously developing his skills by learning from online digital painting tutorials.
His body of work primarily consists of vibrant fantasy character illustrations. He aims to continue to develop his skill set to reach the level of artists working at Riot Games or Blizzard Entertainment.
“My biggest inspirations at the moment are the works of Kienan Lafferty, Ross Tran and Ahmed Aldoori. I want to believe that their influence could be seen in my own works.”
