Giuseppe Cristiano
Giuseppe Cristiano is an Italian illustrator and storyboard artist who has worked all over the world for more than twenty years.
He often collaborates with advertising agencies, but his wealth of experience also includes music, films, animation and games projects. As a storyboard artist, Giuseppe has contributed to the music video production for Radiohead, Madonna, Moby, Roxette and many others, and worked with pioneering directors like Jonas Γ kerlund and Johan Renck.
Giuseppe has worked with prestigious DoP like Hoyte Van Hoytema (director of photography for Interstellar, Her, The Fighter), made illustrations for the fantasy tabletop role-playing game Dungeons & Dragons, and has also produced storyboards for video games such Mad Max, Spider-Man and The Walking Dead.
Giuseppe has participated in thousands of advertising campaigns, such as The Epic Split, the Volvo commercial with Jean Claude Van Damme, and the Evianβs Spider-Man spot.
In addition to his commercial work, Giuseppe is also an educator. Since 1998 he has published eight storyboard manuals in English, Chinese, French, German, Italian and Swedish, some of which are still used in universities and film schools worldwide. His 2011 book, The Storyboard Artist, released in the United States by Michael Wiese Productions, was also published in a Chinese edition.
His two most recent books Visualizer (2018) and Storyboard Artist (2019), are the first and only professional storyboard manuals for the Italian market.
Today, Giuseppe holds masterclasses and workshops throughout Europe and the US.
