Elena Isabel Escobar Soto
Creating rich layers of emotion and character that allow her audience to suspend disbelief is an integral part of the character development process for animator and illustrator Isabel Escobar. βWhen I create my characters, I want them to feel like a real person with thoughts, feelings and a unique personality. I want my audience to feel like they are getting a brief insight into their lives. I always hope that whoever views them feels as if they saw an intriguing stranger on the street.β
Isabel studied Animation Art and Design at the Art Institute of Vancouver. Her animations are primarily created using the animation software Toon Boom Harmony. However, she still loves using pen and paper and often works with watercolour paints.
Isabel currently works and resides in Jalisco, Mexico.
