Dustin Wilson
Graphic artist Dustin Wilson grew up immersed in the world of design and illustration. The sign and screen printing business his family-owned and operated and has led to his life-long creative practice. Dustin says, “While I have many years of professional experience as a designer, I’ve lived art and design my entire life. I don’t just do this for a living like many do; it is simply part of who I am.”
Describing his work as imaginative realism, Dustin aims to render what he imagines as realistically as possible. He has been inspired most of his life by the fantastical paintings and illustrations of artist and author James Gurney. In addition to his creative practice, he is passionate about the Web and is committed to improving web standards and technology.
Dustin hails from West Monroe, Louisiana. He studied at Louisiana Tech University, graduating in 2005 with a BFA in Graphic Design. His creative practice is primarily digital, using his old but trusty Wacom Intuos 4XL. Dustin has extensive experience in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, having used both applications since the early 1990s. He welcomes the opportunity to collaborate with new clients on short and long term projects.
