Dhanny Sanjaya (danot)
Dhanny (danot) Sanjaya is a visual artist working in various media including drawing, video, mixed media and installation. His work usually reflects his personal and surrounding experience. He currently works and lives in Tangerang, Indonesia.
He graduated from Pelita Harapan University with studies in visual communication design. “My early artistic practice focused a lot on drawing, but in line with my work process, I began to be interested in other media such as installations and digital media.”
“Some of my works talk about individual freedom. Recently my practice has turned to complex relationships between humans with environments and other living things.” Inspired by daily life and environments, you can see in his work everyday sights such as glittering raw fish at the market featuring as the primary subject matter in an elegant composition.
