Dawn Stratchko
Dawn Stratchko is a painter, illustrator and designer located in Leominster, MA. She derives great inspiration from flowers, trees, lakes and beaches. Dawn mainly uses acrylics and alcohol inks to produce her work, and always begins with a drawing from a still life or photo which she then edits in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
She has over 18 years’ experience in graphic design, textbook and e-book composition and project management, and is now working as an independent artist and designer.
“My love for painting began in elementary school with fine art training at the Currier Museum of Art through their summer art programs. In 1987, during high school, I attended Maine College of Art in Portland, ME for pre-college art students. Both programs taught me fine art and design basics – elements of design, colour theory, drawing, painting and sculpture. During this time, I studied the great artists like Jean Arp and Georgia O’Keefe.
In 1999, I received my B.F.A. from Notre Dame College. In 2015, I completed B.S. in Information Technology from Kaplan University.
In February 2019, I designed my first booth and attended the SURTEX show at the Javits Center in NYC, NY.
My goal is to share my joy and passion with others. If interested in my work, please contact me. I would love to work with you.”
