Dalys Burnes
Art director and freelance illustrator Dalys Burnes finds inspiration in Asian culture, Renaissance art and the human body. Highly detailed black and white illustrations are characteristic of her unique style. She prefers creating work using pencil and paper but is also proficient with digital tools.
She studied art in high school, and continued her training as an undergraduate, focussing on advertising and graphic design. She currently works as an art director at Publicis PanamΓ‘ alongside her freelance practice.
Her commercial portfolio includes a range of projects for clients including illustrating a series of custom childrenβs books, painting murals for residential and commercial buildings and designing packaging labels for a craft brewer, The Mansion Brewery. This project won the Caribe Award in Branding from the Caribe advertising festival. She has also participated in Pandora Exquisita Vol.1, an exhibition which illustrated anecdotes capturing the daily life of people living in Panama.
