Carein
Carein is a multidisciplinary artist who works primarily in illustration. Her artistic life began at a young age, which led to Carein graduating with a master’s degree in art and design in 2008. Over the years she has studied a broad range of artistic mediums including oil painting, acrylics, watercolours, clay, sewing and embroidery. Today, she creates her works on an iPad using the Procreate application.
Her journey to finding her own painting style was inspired by random stitch embroidery, one of the most famous Chinese modern embroidery styles. She studied the work of random stitch embroidery artists and started to use only parallel lines to create paintings. This style combines the sketch principles of Western paintings with Chinese embroidery and makes her feel calm, relaxed and peaceful.
