Bowon Kim
Bowon Kim is a storyboard artist who lives in Seoul, South Korea. She studied animation at university and since graduating she has worked exclusively within his field on projects for clients such as Audi, Nike, BMW, Samsung and more.
Her inspiration derives from films and television dramas, more recently demonstrated in Netflix’s ‘Kingdom’ which tells the story of the conflicts encountered by the Korean Joseon Dynasty, including conspiracies, plagues and more. Medieval architecture and props from this period of significant cultural growth (1392–1894) have had a strong influence on Bowon Kim’s artistic style.
‘Eastnoea’ is the work she prepared for his graduation exhibition. She says, “I wanted to show an ambitious concept of an original game. Eastnoea shows a near-future fusion fantasy world view of the cyber-punk theme, which retains the concept of the Joseon Dynasty’s culture.”
