Boom Chuy
Boom Chuy is an illustrator and graphic designer residing in Mexico.
After completing his studies in graphic design at the Faculty of Architecture and Design at the University of Colima, he now works as a freelance illustrator and graphic designer.
His influences are varied, among them are the highly detailed manga illustrations of the 80s and 90s. He also states that influences for his work are fed by the naive style of 30s cartoons and the Kustom Culture inspired works of American artist Ed Roth.
His works are largely produced with pen and ink. However, lately he has begun producing work digitally utilising the Adobe Creative Suite which allows him to work efficiently and experiment with a range of digital media.
