Alán Castaños Rodriguez
Alan Castaños is a freelance animator and illustrator who aims to depict the world in a fun, cartoon style. Alan considers himself a ‘DIY’ creator, working alone to produce work in his characteristically vibrant aesthetic.
He is passionate about cartoons and finds inspiration across the genre, from classic Looney Tunes episodes through to the contemporary Modern Cartoon Network. His client work includes a range of animated music videos, explainer videos and small pilots.
Alan studied digital animation for four and a half years at UDLAP (Universidad De Las Americas Puebla) and graduated in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree. He uses Adobe Animate, Illustrator, Photoshop, AE, Premiere and ToonBoom to produce his work. He currently resides in Puebla, Mexico.
