Alex Lay
Alex Lay specialises in world-building, set design and layout. From a young age, he has been fascinated by animation, specifically the world built in it.
“I believe that designing a suitable visual language for the sets, which can support the characters and help the story become more intriguing. Therefore, exploring how everything works inside the films becomes my forte.”
A Los Angeles resident, he developed his skills at the ArtCenter College of Design, graduating with a BFA in illustration and entertainment art.
He uses a mixture of digital and analogue techniques to produce his work, utilising Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects and Autodesk Maya Traditional alongside graphite, ink and watercolour.
