Aiko Fukuda
Aiko was born in Japan in 1986. She graduated from Bridgewater State University in Massachusetts with a B.A. in Graphic Design. After completing her studies Aiko returned to Tokyo and started working as an in-house Graphic Designer in the luxury fashion industry. Aiko found that the “Tokyo salary (wo)man” life was very stressful and demanding, and found peace in drawing . Aiko states that drawing for her is ZEN, “I find drawing peaceful and it makes me happy”. She began pursuing illustration intensely and in 2014 left the company she was working for as an in-house graphic designer and pursued a career as a freelance fashion illustrator. Aiko finds inspiration for her works in fashion, music, art, nature, her moods and travel. Her curiosity never stops and she is constantly challenging herself with new illustrative methods and techniques.
