Sara Gonzalez Alvarez AKA Sara Gummy, was born in 1991 in the small town of Ronda, Malaga.
She is a young Spanish freelance illustrator, graphic designer and art director passionate about her work. In her short career, Sara has managed to already develop a large list of reputable clients.
Sara has obtained Masters of Graphic Design and Prepress from the School of Design and Multimedia in Malaga.
Her illustrations a largely created in vector based programs and then brought into Adobe Photoshop where she applies organic textures to add an element of warmth and subtle distress. Sara also experiments with inks, watercolors and markers to produce
The culture and aesthetic of 'Kawaii', a Japanese word referring to the "quality of cuteness" is a major influence in Sara's work. "In each illustration, I always try to give that joyous and magical touch that has become synonymous with Kawaii culture. I also work within the Horror Vacui style, which is defined as the filling of the entire surface of a space or an artwork with detail."
