Nicolle Rockstroh is a graphic designer and illustrator living and working in Guatemala. She studied graphic design in Austria and currently resides in Barcelona, Spain.
Her interest in visual arts started with painting and illustration, which has now become the main focus on her creative practice. Photography and lettering are also prominent elements within her work. Her illustrations are largely formed from an eclectic mix of mediums, from pencil technical drawings, watercolour, to three-dimensional creations in plasticine.
Nicolle frequently works on a wide variety of freelance illustrations and visual merchandising projects. Notably, she recently completed a series of postage stamps for the Guatemalan Post Office.
“I find inspiration in nature, my culture and traditions, traveling and movies.
Aquatic animals, space related beings, plants and flowers are common subjects in my work. My style can be very cartoon-like, with bold lines and figures combined with a bright, lively colour palette.”
