Julie Finn is a graphic designer and illustrator currently residing in Brooklyn, New York. She is an avid explorer in terms of creativity– experimenting with different mediums of art inspired by her travels. Julie loves bright colours, clean curves and discovering new ways to marry design and illustration.
After graduating from Pratt Institute and Bauhaus University, Julie started her professional career as an Environmental Designer at a small firm in NYC–creating large-scale graphic and illustrated murals. She then went on to travel to South America and along the East Coast of the United States, while offering freelance design services to dignified clients including Girl Scouts of the USA, TOMS Shoes and Freixenet. Upon relocating to New York, Julie began working as a Designer at McCann, one of the leading advertising firms in the world, where she continues to work today. When she’s not pitching to new clients at McCann, Julie co-leads an independently published female artist collective, Fem Foundry. Fem Foundry has participated in several non-profit art events, as well as local book, zine and print fairs.
Julie is currently looking to unite her design skillset with her passion for both climate change awareness/prevention and human/animal rights issues. In the future she hopes to inspire such social change through large-scale murals.
