Who are Capsules Book?
We are a small, independent company of creatives who believe in investing in an extremely high quality printed volume of curated work, with the aim of creating introductions between leading creatives and businesses from around the world we have handpicked and have personal relationships with.

Kayle Whitham; Creative Director. Kayle founded Capsules Book in 2016.
His background is in graphic design and illustration, and holds a BA in Communication Design from RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia.
Kayle looks after all production and design aspects of Capsules Book.
Michelle Brook; Communications Director. Michelle’s background is in marketing and communications in the creative industries. She studied Publishing (BA Hons) at London College of Communication at University of the Arts, London UK.
Michelle brings her client side experience to the team and is the primary contact for the businesses we work with.
What is a creative directory and how does it work?
A creative directory is a publication comprised of artist portfolios of a specific creative discipline. Our creative directories are used by businesses as an introduction to the artists we feature in our publications. Businesses are able to contact the artists directly to establish a working relationship.
What are your services and why do you charge a fee?
Here’s an outline of our creative services, we would be pleased to discuss this further should you be interested in featuring in a publication.
A copy of the hardback book sent to you anywhere worldwide.
An online portfolio on our website featuring your up to 8 of your artworks, accompanied by your biography, professional contact details and social media channels.
Editing and copywriting.
A digital e-book edition of the publication.
Industry distribution to hundreds of high calibre businesses and creative practices
We charge a fee for our services to feature in our creative directories, the artist fee covers the production and distribution of the publication as we distribute the books free of charge to relevant businesses who can use our directories to hire creative services.
Where are your books distributed?
Our primary method of distribution is to a range of highly targeted businesses from around the world who have a need to hire creative services.
Our publications will be delivered to hundreds of highly targeted businesses that can be used as a reference when hiring for their next creative project.
We are pleased to send the publications free of charge to these companies to use for reference when looking to fill their creative briefs.
We include the contact details of the artists within the publications and online, meaning that businesses can contact the artist directly and establish their own relationships. Our distribution list includes global businesses such as Warner Bros, Universal Music, Sony Music, a host of leading advertising agencies including Bookmark (WPP), Ogilvy, Publicis, MullenLowe and more. Our distribution list also includes publications such as Buzzfeed, Shortlist and a range of targeted businesses including galleries throughout Europe and Australia, creative agencies, breweries, high profile wineries, interior designers, decorators and more!
Are your books sold anywhere?
Yes, our directories are available for sale to customers who are not on our distribution lists, via our website and Amazon.
100% of profit from the physical book sales are donated to a literacy charity, Book Aid International https://bookaid.org/
What are your copyright and license terms?
Participating in our publications has no impact on the artist’s ownership of their work.
The artist retains all copyright to their works and we do not ask for, or retain any copyright of artists who are featured in our publications.
The Portfolio Licensing Agreement we use is a document granting us approval to reproduce the artist’s work in the context of our publications - ie: printed in our books, hosted online on our website as part of our online portfolio service.
Should a featured artist decide they want to remove their artworks from our website at a later date please contact us and we would be happy to action the request as soon as possible.

Can you supply me with a tax receipt for payment of your services?
Yes, we can, please email us your request.
Do you charge any commission for work resulting in appearing in your publication?
No we do not.
What materials are your books made from?
All our books are printed on FSC certified paper.
Are you involved with any charities?
Yes, we donate 100% of profits from the sale of our physical directories to literacy charity, Book Aid International.
We also donate our directories to schools and colleges in Australia as part of our ‘NEXT GEN’ inspiring future creatives initiative. If you would like to discuss a donation for a school or college you represent, we would love to hear from you.
