“I enjoy working with inks and in pencil, creating floral patterns that are then layered into more intense and elaborate blooms. It’s important to me to start off with physical, traditional methods, before transferring the designs to Illustrator for final development.
Flowers and floral designs are a natural place for my artwork to express itself. I find I often start doodling flowers absentmindedly, so when I do bring intention to my designs, florals feel like a perfect fit. There’s a relaxed feel to my artwork that reflects this organic approach.
I take inspiration from my Cambridgeshire surroundings: the slower pace of life, the natural forms of Fenland wildlife, and the simple beauty of flora and fauna.”
