Allen Manuel was born in India in 1992 and moved to the UK at the age of 8. Growing up in London’s inner city, it was hard to avoid the influences of Hip-Hop/Grime music and graffiti. He draws inspiration from other creatives who are usually at the top of their game. Manuel works mostly in digital mediums. Having received no formal training or education in art he developed skills and techniques through trial and error. Some of his main influences are the works of Frank Miller, David Choe and Alex Grey. Manuel’s artistic philosophy is that creativity is not necessarily something that is ethereal or ephemeral but something you can summon through real hard work and putting in the hours.
