Yasuyuki Ohshima

Japanese Illustrator Yasuyuki Ohshima was born in Chino located within the mountainous Nagano Prefecture. Manga and video games (like Mega Man or Super Mario Bros.) heavily influence his paintings, as do childhood memories of growing up in a rich, natural environment. These inspirations result in colourful fantasy-inspired works embellished with gentle organic motifs.

Yasuyuki debuted in 2009 as an illustrator under the pseudonym “clumselly” with the publication of his illustration book titled: “NIJIIROMEGANE”. Now, Yasuyuki primarily works on books, CD illustrations, and character design. He has also held solo exhibitions and opened an independent comic event to gain additional experience.

He is proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, Clip Studio Paint and SAI and enjoys working on projects involving video games, Japanese TV, Japanese cartoons and J-pop.
